    Hi,

I just bought this great piece at a local estate sale.
The daughter didn't know much about it, but told me it was most likely
    painted on sheepskin.
Looks to me like vellum, with some small ripples.

However, my Latin reading days are a long time ago and I'd love to
    know what it says.

I'm assuming it's some sort of religious sheet music, but can't be sure.

The piece is encased in a frame between 2 pieces of glass, I've enclosed 2 pictures of each side..............

Can anyone help me identify what it reads?
And maybe how old it is (aprox)?

    Thanks for your help,

    Nessa

      This will get you started.

      Three separate elements:

      A) ....... filiis zebedei

There are a few version possible of C.
They come from various sources in the Vulgate Bible.
Probably part of a mass construct for one particular day of the year.
That will take some time to define.
      This is just the start.

      I think it's a wonderful item!

Assumpsit Iesus Petrum, et Iaco ... is perhaps from Matthew 17.1
In that time Jesus taketh unto him Peter and James,

at illi dixerunt ei possumus Iesus autem ait eis calicem quidem quem ego bibo bibetis et baptismum quo ego baptizor baptizabimini

They said to Him, "We are able." And Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink you shall drink; and you shall be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptised."
