I suspect that this unusual Vase is probably a Scandinavian...Riihimaki or Holmegaard product but I have been unable to find similar examples in my Ref. Books. The seller suggested Bohemian manufacturers but I can't see who it could be. Anyone recognize the style? The vase is an inky blue with a clear layer for the base and looks a bit like the "Michelin" Man. The rim is wide & polished and the underbase has target-like rings with a small central core. It measures almost 12" tall with a 2 1/2" diameter rim. Thanks for any help on this one, R.E.R. (BOB)
Your vase is pictured on page 29 of "Scandinavian Glass 1930-2000, Fire & Sea" (upper right corner) by Leslie Pina & Lorenzo Vigier. A Schiffer Book for Collectors.
Riihimaen Lasi ca. 1970. Finland
So Riihimaen Lasi is the designer or the retailer and Riihimaki glassworks is the manufacturer. Thanks for this valuable information and for supplying the source. I had based my assumptions on comparing the clear base to others made by Riihimaki. Thanks you vlfndc and to Moonstonelover21 & AmberRose for the Love. BOB

Stunning find Bob!!!!!
Hi vetraio50! Thank you for your input! The blue one shown on the site is smaller than the one above by 11cm's and only has one small upper rim instead of two on my vase but you can discern that it is by the same maker by the shape. The quality of the glass is quite good. BOB
