Albert Kiessling one of the best known studio pottery manufacturers of the east german communistic era, was trained as a engineer for Ceramic and Ceramic machines before he founded his own studio in Langhessen in 1954.
Kiessling is known as "the master of wax resist glazes" which are often called snakeskin.
the snakeskin pieces are quite rare to find and highly collectible but even a lot more rare are his crystalline glazed pieces like the one showed above.
