    Anybody know anything about this elephant ? It was my Grandma's and has been around as long as I can remember. (I'm 48 yo) There are no markings on the bottom of it. Thanks Greg

      Welcome to CW . What a great heirloom to remember your Grandmother , Hard to tell on photo what they are made of can you tell ? Chalkware, Porcelain ? did you look on bottom for a mark or along side of legs ?

      I would guess alabaster. Can you post a picture of the bottom?

      I'm not sure what chalkware is. It appears like ceramic but dull or ruff. If I tap on it with my finger nail it appears or sounds really thin material.
