This is a Hubley #505 front loader from the 1950's. It is a generic model but has the look of any real crawler loader. Box is made to open as a display box as shown in the third photo.
Measures 10 inches long.
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thanks for the loves!
Thanks toolate2
Tom ,where can I get a pair of tracks for one of these?
Glad to you back, been a little worried.
I don't know anyone selling them made for this crawler. I will compare the size to the Arcade and a few other that I know are available. I will need a set someday, I have a junk one of these to make an Oliver out of.
LOL ,burnt out and busy at work...
Found a nice one to restore, you know,I needed another project!
Well, The Ertl IH, Arcade Cat and Tonka dozer tracks are all too large. You can buy Marx tracks that have a metal clip to crimp them together at the correct length. You will want the wide ones without he lugs on the inside. They aren't cheap.
Now, if you know a mechanic, ask him to save you old drive belts that the ATV and motorcycles are using. I flipped one inside out and spliced it on a lug for a larger super glue joint. Then line the inside of the joint with cloth or fine mesh super glued to it.
I have been successful in finding vacuum cleaner drive belts to fit smaller dozers.
