New York City - Transit Token

This is a 1980's era Transit token from New York City. It was issued by the Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority for toll use on Manhattan Bridges & Tunnels. Noted on the reverse is The Triborough Bridge (now known as the Robert F. Kennedy), the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, and the Throgs Neck Bridge. -- (Tunnels and bridges from Manhattan to New Jersey are under the authority of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey so this was not valid for toll use there) - It is 1 1/8" in diameter and made of bronze. - Obsolete (No longer valid)
