Please help me to get this right. I've tried to pull together what has been said about other clocks like mine. So, here goes.

I believe this is an early 1900's Sessions Calender Clock. It came from my grandfather's meat market. These clocks were most likely used commercially for markets, depots, offices and the like. Logos were often reproduced on the front glass with gold leaf.

They required little attention as they only had to be wound every eight days. Being very handsome clocks with a mellow sound, they survived through home used. Some, like mine, had their logo removed. Mine still has it's original the gold border on the glass.

It has roman numerals and has 31 numbers on it for 31 days of the month that's why it's called a calender clock. That's not military.

Thank you, John and officialfuel. I was hoping you guys would check the clock out. There's so much I have to know and you've been so helpful.

I have a Sessions Clock Co. Clock almost similar to this one. My gold border on the glass is different, it's a double straight line, and on my glass it reads 'eclipse regulator'. I have been trying to find out all about it. But, I can't find anything with 'eclipse regulator on it. But, apparently, The Sessions Clock Company started to make these calendar clocks between 1903-1933. Still looking. Good Luck. Rita

I recently saw a Howard Miller Calendar Wall Clock with double faces. The top face was the clock the bottom was a calendar with months and days inscribed on it. The clock body was rectangular and had the word "Calendar" written in gold between the two clock faces.Though simple in design it was very appealing. Does any one have a Model No. and photo so I can actively look for one?
