I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me - I find something when I'm not really looking for it. Usually, it's something that is sort of fresh on my mind, but in the periphery. Tonight I was going through my library looking for something else, when a couple of vases caught my eye, because they had the same distinctive enameled flower as the Loetz Max Emmanuel piece I posted a couple of days ago.
The scans in the 3rd and 4th photos are from Le Génie Verrier de L'Europe, a French language glass reference book by Giuseppe Cappa. This book is about 15 years old, so it has some outdated info, but it also has some very useful photos! The two vases shown are different shapes and colors, but they have the same enameled decoration, and are both marked on the base with the same decor number - IV 714. So we can now put this one in the "identified" column!
Very cool! I love it when this happens. Another DEK is no longer a mystery. I will add this info to the site when I get home tonight! Yay!
