Playboy Casino was built in 1981 but suffered financial difficulties from the start. In 1984 it was renamed the Atlantis Hotel & Casino but went bankrupt in 1985. It was purchased by Donald Trump in 1989, who closed the casino and operated the property solely as a hotel named the Trump Regency. Trump reopened the casino in 1996 as the World's Fair at Trump Plaza, but after 3 years of failure the building was closed and demolished. There is currently a parking lot on the site. - Once sold for between $75-$80, the value of this chip plummeted in 2008 after a hoard was discovered in Mississippi. Shipped to that state for destruction in 1984, the chips had instead been buried and covered with concrete; later unearthed during a construction project. - Chip# PB-2.5
