    (150 items)

Here are three more Bohemian lidded jars or candy jars. Not completely sure about identifying the makers? Left to right -

    1. Eight+ inches tall, possibly Rindskopf?
    2. Nine inches tall, Ruckl I think
    3. Seven+ inches tall, iridized, the shape is Welz but not sure of the decor
    name.

Thanks all for your comments and input. We seems to be in agreement on #2 being
      Ruckl Coral Shimmy.
      #3 I believe is Welz - See here: http://www.kralik-glass.com/frametemplate.html
Look at: Franz Welz Visual Decor Index, sixth row down, 1st pic
#1 I don't know what to think Please see here: https://sites.google.com/site/bohemianglassandmore/rindskopf The decor on both the red and the green "confetti" pieces looks very similar

My vote: Ruckl, Ruckl or kralik, Welz
    5. VioletOrange VioletOrange, 11 years ago
      Kralik1928, czechman

I think you two are right - Ruckl, Ruckl, Welz - thanks

Love this group...I had the other post of the three pieces with the décor like the first one. my vote Ruckl or Kralik, Ruckl, Welz. Love the Welz piece!

jagsrock95, your three are terrific, thanks

      Welzbub,

"I am interested in what a Ruckl mark looks like" - perhaps czechman can answer that
    9. VioletOrange VioletOrange, 11 years ago
      Welzbub et al,

Check this out for the mark:

      Great glass!

I too would like to see the Ruckl "mark" and documentation. I recall a Ruckl "label" being posted here but not an attributable "mark".

IF this piece is Ruckl, then this mark can be associated with Ruckl BUT not necessarily just them, e.g. is this just a provenance mark used by many or is it unique to Ruckl or whomever made this decor?
    12. scottvez scottvez, 11 years ago
I see the mark, but NO representation to it being a "Ruckl mark".

Where is the documentation/ how did you make the determination that the mark is a "Ruckl mark"??

    13. VioletOrange VioletOrange, 11 years ago
I agree with you and do not claim the mark shown is exclusive to Ruckl. In fact I do not with any certainty know if the example shown is even Ruckl. That is what I was trying to say above:

"IF this piece is Ruckl, then this mark can be associated with Ruckl BUT not necessarily just them, e.g. is this just a provenance mark used by many or is it unique to Ruckl or whomever made this decor?"

I believe there is an ongoing effort to help in the identification of Ruckl. I look forward to that.

Yes-- there are definitely some "ongoing efforts" in respect to Ruckl!

Welcome to the site, VO. I just looked at all of your great postings-- you have a fantastic collection.

I also wanted to echo your sentiment: "GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY"!!

Although I mostly agree with Craig I think the right step forward it to link all the pieces that have this (football) mark and see if there is a common thread.
I will try to do this in another post...

The Ausf 140-type pieces with adventurine pull-ups do not intersect with is this blue marbled piece... that is one of the problems with knowing who made it. I have seen many of these blue marbled pieces... they don't seem that rare to me but they are usually sold as Kralik.

The mention of Rindskopf is interesting but I think wrong, Although the same technique is used (ruffled or pleated pattern) these pieces can move up or down wildly...other companies used this technique so shape, acid mark and thickness of glass would be more important for the attribution... (but if i saw a blue marbled piece with a silver collar...)

For what it is worth, I have recently seen an example of, and have images of the center piece with a Royal Art Glass label. This label is referenced by the Glasmarken Lexicon as a Welz label, and is found on many quite distinctive Welz décors.

Just thought those that looked at this previously might be interested.

We now know that many pieces were not Welz and also had this label RAG on their glass pieces, latest is a Kralik box in the orange and brown Iris decor. We count about 12 items found with the label, about 1/4 are potentially Welz.
I feel now in 2018, the lidded jar in question is probably Ruckl, based on other decors and shapes.
