This is an early photo attached to a notecard backing (not a postcard). The photo is an aerial of city hall Marienplatz (St. Mary's Square) and to the left is Frauenkirche (Church of Our Blessed Lady) in Munich Germany. It is a black & white photo and shows a light snowfall on the building roofs. (If was in color, the roof on the Frauenkirche is red and the round steeple tops are green). There is a presence on the ground of trolley tracks in front of city hall, and people, but no automobiles are present (only other view I could find with trolley tracks there was dated 1930 and was a color postcard). The photo itself measures 2 1/2" by 3 3/8" and is attached to the card (heavier gauge paper with a wrinkly finish, also attached slightly off-center as shown in photograph 2 above) 3 7/8" by 4 7/8". The photo has that silvery reflection on the highlights when held at an angle. The handwritten note on the back is undated and in German but I cannot decipher or translate the handwriting. It is also a seperate piece of paper attached to the card to make up the backing for the photo. - Estimated circa date 1920's-1930's.
