Look at this cool Art Deco clock I found at a local estate some years ago!
I found this info about it online:
"Rare Art Deco Telechron "Quacker" Electric Alarm Clock by Industrial designer Belle Kogan. The whimsical design made of canary yellow Plaskon body with a deep orange beak, and painted eyes that seem always to be watching you is absolutely stunning. This is one of the few true novelty clocks made by Telechron, and it is one of the most desirable.
This clock was featured in the Telechron catalogs from 1935 through 1939. The "Quacker" model 7F63 was the alarm clock version of the similar "Smug" clock. Kogan, one of the first American female industrial designers, was an early pioneer in the use of plastics, and her clocks are collector's items today."
Have only seen one other one for sale.
I'm looking for the black version, without the alarm feature.
Isn't he adorable?
Thanks for looking,
Nessa
Nice Quacker! These also came in blue - very scarce.
I've got the blue version of this clock, it belonged to my great aunt. Thanks so much for supplying so much information about the clock and its designer.
