I love love love these old Pyrex bowls. I've been filling my cabinets with them. A very close family member was diagnosed with breast cancer. The general surgeon she worked for, told her because of the effects plastic products have on the human body, he refuses to allow it in his home, or allow his family to eat foods frozen in plastic containers. Plastic releases dioxins when it reaches freezing/boiling. I have been replacing all the plastic in the kitchen with glass and metal, I have almost completely replaced the plastics. As you can see I put the largest bowl in this set to good use right away and filled it with a few batches of homemade herb dumplings. The colors are gorgeous. They also have clear bottoms. This is one very beautiful set, I feel so fortunate to have it.

I like looking at the white stuff, but not so much when it comes to getting around in it.
