In November 1977 Konica released the Konica C35 AF which became the world's first production autofocus camera. The AF system was a passive type developed and produced by Honeywell called "Visitronic". A very simple, plastic, point and shoot 35mm camera with pop-up flash and manual film advance. A milestone camera nevertheless.
