I bought this chair at an auction in England about 20 years ago and brought it with when we moved back to the U.S. I know nothing about it and would appreciate any information. Thanks

I wonder if you could post a picture of the under side? The chair is a fun piece and the joinery is sloppy enough to say nobody has tried to restore me I am original. Although I think the chair is older than the seat shown. The Brits have some fantastic hardwoods that aren't available in the USA. Can't see the grain or natural color but the chair is certainly a keeper.

The seat lifts out, will get a couple of photos up tomorrow.
      Thanks!

Hard to tell age from your photos-- some well lit images may help.

Also, photos showing the underside and bottom of the seat may help.

      Thanks for sharing.

I know the photos aren't great but the good camera is out of town. I've deleted two photos & added two others showing the joinery with better lighting and also the underside of the seat which includes staples indicating that the current leather covering isn't original.
