The Canon A-1 posting motivated me to get my Pentax ME-F which has been boxed up for years due to lack of display space(working on that issue).
In 1981 Pentax produced a phenomenal camera which was way ahead of it's time. Such is the ME-F I am posting here. It was the predecessor of the ME and the ME Super of 1977 and 1979. The ME-F was a true, and the first true mass produced, autofocus SLR ever in the fact that it was integrated with the body and it used TTL technology(through the lens metering etc.).
This one is outfitted with the ME II motor winder and of course the SMC Pentax 35-70mm f/2.8 AF lens.
We must not forget the Polaroid SX-70 of 1978 which was a true autofocus SLR and way ahead of it's time also but used sonar and was mirrorless.
