IF I had the imagination, I would make pieces too. This was easy and I'm probably going to lose all respect now, but remember, I have zero training, and zero skills, I am an entertainment and news writer, who is out of work and cares much ore more about learning about antiques vintage and design now. I am a journalist by trade and degree, so I started life trying to learn about things and explain them to the world. Now you guys are schooling me and very well, I might add!
MY last show and tell that I will post tonight is an R&J Arnold 1950s coffee table with a leather top. It is so exquisite i could die, but it needs work, and I can't afford it. I need metal shop or I'll have to get rid of it. BUt please if there's one last thing you do on this site for me. please chime in on theat one. Will post next and then good night!
the drawers and door did not close so I had to find pieces of wood and wood glue and cut and shave and sand and clamp. stained and changed hardware, was just for fun and again, something for learning. I did the same with a fab danish modern chair. will send another day.
We learn from experience & not repeating others mistakes. Having said that tidbit of wisdom & not remembering where I was going with it, I am going to crash.
