Bought at an estate sale, was marked down due to last day of sale. I've not been able to see any name on the cane by the carver but it's obvious it was done by an artist of the time. Very fine detail. Whoever had this atop a cane spent some money on it. Would love to know the history of the piece. Mr. FRED ARCHER was a very Sucsessful Jockey in Europe last century.
From my observations over these many years, I 1st associate the straight narrow bridge with virtually no bridge with the Channel Islands & SE UK. Of course that is just a general & casual observation but wonder if others have opinions on that.
I'm not following you blunderbuss2
Not to worry. I met so many people from everywhere over the years, that I started identifying accents & regional facial features. Just localizing the features of your "topper".
