Good a place to start as any. The proofs appear English. The "V" means viewed/inspected & the "P" means proofed. Brass barrels are usually naval & worth more. There was a William Probin who was a Birmingham barrel maker starting in 1840, which was the end of the flintlock era. Would like to see a pic of the lock to see if it was originally flint. This looks original by the pics but there are plenty of fakes & counterfeits & would take an on site inspection to tell for certain. The acorn trigger guard finial was common, which changes to a Pineapple generally after capt. Cooks explorations or post 178?. Nice gun but surely longer than 130 m/m.

The pic wasn't from a good clear angle Scott, but I didn't see the holes for flint on the lock face.
