    This is a large Tureen about 12 inches. markings include Villeroy&Boch Mettlach made in Saar Basin...Echt Mettlach...saargau #6426 or 8426 There is also a number indented 3788. I have searched and searched and haven't found a pattern even close to this one. It's a very beautiful piece and would love any information someone may have! Thank you

      Here’s a link to V&B marks, which will help date the piece. Old patterns are very hard to identify though.

      Thanks Mary I have already been to that site. I'm more interested in the pattern and if it originally may have had a platter under it and other pieces!
      I have yet to find any info on those things LOL
