Here's a 1936 newspaper clipping of my uncle. It would've been a year before the USS Macon disaster. At this time he was stationed in San Pedro California. At least that puts him in close proximity during that timeframe.
Jono, what are you thinking? I think they are things that happened to see & kept. This can give you a broader sense of who he was, and like.
