Here is a small Pee Wee Cathedral Tube Radio from 1932 this is a Rare set that you don't see to often, a 4 tuber standing at only 11 1/2" tall, the Willard Radio Co. was taken over by Gilfillan Bros. The radio was sold for $7.98 with no tubes. The Radio stands at just 11 1/2" tall in one photo you can see the contrast in size with the larger Jackson Bell Tulip Radio at 19" tall.
"With no tubes"?? Who would buy a radio that doesn't work? Never mind, I just remembered a few. Still think that carries marketing strategy a bit too far.
Yes , kind of strange, but in the Early 1930's ( 1931-1933 ) there were many Radio Manufactures like over 50 in the Los Angeles area and competition was very tough, so I guess that was a good marketing strategy to try and get peoples attention.
