He is awesome, so are those chairs.
Merry Christmas and welcome to CW.
Thank You. :) Glad to be here
You have a wonderful bear I have a few thoughts on maker , Does he have a tail that moves his head ? He has make looks of a Steiff, Schuco , as well as Ideal and a few others . He has the long nose which collectors love and his very large size . To bad so much mohiar is gone but he is wonderful ! I would date a early bear early 1900's .
Gorgeous bear!!! : )
Manikin. Thanks for clue in searching. He has no tail. I can't find any similar to him. I will still search:)
Hi there, thanks for commenting on my Chris-bear tree. Your bear is lovely and huge! He has the look of the 1920's German bears.
I have a 24" Schuco yes/no bear circa 1920 who has very similar features and mohair colour.
Hi Bear , I thought Schuco also but he has no tail she said for the yes no bear . He has glass eyes like schuco did however and they are not shoe button for as early as he is most companies were using shoe button ?. Maybe a photo of his back side might help . He is wonderful isn't he :-)
Thank You All. I found interesting website with antique Bears , few from 1920 remind my Teddy. Its German Bear but I have to find photo of this bear to be sure. http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/10897/11109/?results_per_page=50
Bing was another guess .http://www.teddybearresource.com/bing-bears/

The one that looks like yours is a Bing
Thanks. :) Im almost at home:)
Hi Manikin and Kony, believe Schuco also made regular bears (without tails) but of course they are hard to attribute with no other ID. His long snout could also point to Bing...
Glass eyes for most bears later than '20's, shoe button for earlier...
It's always fun to check bears out!
No matter, he is lovely!
