This oil lamp was a Christmas present and could not wait to post it!
Not exactly sure who produced it but possibly Sandwich? Maybe someone can lend further info?
Its complete as you can see and in super shape! Its decorated in a popular cabin in the snow pattern with the addition of a windmill (Delft)
decoration.
The four feet have a birds foot as part of the pattern.
The tank that holds the oil is marked Bradley & Hubbard.
Just a beautiful lamp!
Beautiful
A Very Nice Parlor (vase) Lamp from the late 1800's possibly early 1900's with Matching shade and Font. Similar lamps were made by many different N. American Lamp companies but this one is especially nice with the bronze Bird-Feet base and insert Bronze Font. I read that Sandwich Glass Co.hired highly skilled ladies to decorate their Milk Glass Lamps & Shades with Rural Winter Scenes. The quality of this lamp suggests Sandwich as a possibility for this Particular Vase Lamp. If so, it would date 1800's. Other well known companies like Edward Miller, Bradley & Hubbard, Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co, Fostoria Glass Co, Mt. Washington Glass Co. Handel to name a few made these types of lamps. Some companies like Wrigley Gum, Larkin Soap and the Great London Tea Company offered Parlor lamps to their customers as promotions. I really Love Your Vase Lamp...great Art work on it. BOB
Thanks so much again. Yes it is a great lamp. A friend of mine who owns antique shop near me got it and now I have it :)
I will be posting more lamps soon!
Thanks!
