I'm almost done restoring this machinist tool chest. I've had in the garage for about 10 years along with a few others. A few more finishing touches and I can call this one done - need to line the inside cover, find a knob for the front cover and hunt down a key. This one will be used to store jewelry in. No idea who made this one, no marks on labels on it. This has been stored in my garage waiting for me to get going on bringing it back to life, figured it was time to get working on it. I did one for my daughter's Christmas gift, she loves it and is going to store her makeup in it. It was fun to restore and it will something that she has for years. I have a few more but they are what I would call a "basket case" parts missing and lots of wear so those are going to be my winter projects. I enjoy restoring old items mostly work on trunks but with winter upon us I've had to move to smaller items that I can work on inside.
Wow, you've done a fantastic job. I love it.
It would also make a great place to store artists paint brushes.
