I have a small (3 1/2" h) blue jar or vase with a woman and child carved in it. I think it is porcelain, because of the white material seen on the cameo and bottom. I'm iright in thinking this is Victorian? There is a number 1866 on the bottom. Can anyone help with the age and maker?
Can anybody identify the maker?
I'm afraid I can't answer your primary question, I'd like to know too! However, I have a piece that is clearly of the same manufacture, definitely porcelain, with a different design on it. On the bottom is impressed into the clay '1863.' I am inclined to believe these are model numbers & not at all indicative of age.
