I bought this lovely table for $100 from a guy who has a shop in Hesperia, CA. He goes to auctions and gets furniture, brings it back to his store and sells for a profit. He told me this is definitely an antique but he didn't know any more about it than that.
I have no idea what style this is, what period from which it was made or anything else about it.
It has a drawer in front as you can see but it also has two wood bars that pull out as if to accommodate a leaf. However, they are located on either side of the drawer which is an unlikely area to have a table leaf. So, I have no clue what the purpose is of these two bars. You can barely see them in the first pic.
I cleaned it up with furniture polish and that was all it needed. If anyone can identify this piece, especially the time period in which it was made, that would be GREAT.
This is one piece my husband really liked and made me get rid of a piece of furniture in our bedroom so he could put it there.
