Victorian Chinese Gold and Lacquer Fan Box/ Hand Painted Bird and Floral Interior/Circa 1800's

Here's a little box I found at GW back in the Summer. It's a 9" box to hold a fan although the fan and insert are missing. There was one exactly like it on Ancient Point's website for sale and they were describing it as 1800's Victorian. So I guess that's what it is. The interior of the lid is painted with a bird and floral motif. It's really pretty and I can just imagine what the fan must have looked like. Probably a souvenir item from back in the day and in very nice condition. -Mike-
