BarnScouter
(1 item)
Here are the pictures for the post I did early this morning which had a picture of my granddaughter instead of the jar.
These pictures are of a blue colored jar that I found in a barn in East Texas last week. It has the number "5" underlined at the bottom of the jar. The porcelian lid insert shows the name "BOYDS" and number "1". The top of the lid has "Presto" printed on it. The name "UNIVERSAL" is printed on the outside of the jar upside down, and the smaller letters "L.F.&C." appear under UNIVERSAL, also upside down. Does anyone know how I can know if this jar is rare and/or collectible.
Did you at least read my description I put on last night before you deleted the post?
The jar lid does not go with the jar. The jar goes with a Landers Frary & Clark Universal Coffee Grinder. The writing is not upside down, the jar sits upside down & screws into the top of the grinder. The porcelain lined zinc cap was produced by the millions. The jar really does not have a lot of value without the grinder. Hope this helps.
,and has nothing to do with the Ball company.
