I found a tiny tree just like this before Christmas. Japan, 1950s with mercury glass ornaments and mica glitter. I LOVED it. BUT I couldn't keep it. See a customer of mine (also a friend) had a really tough two years. She boycotted Christmas last year, but told me she was thinking about it this year...maybe a tiny Christmas...not tree though. Well dang it, I found tiny Christmas for her. I was right it was perfect. She was immeasurably happy, I did the right thing DANG IT!!
Well I grumbled about it to a CW person, just sniffing about taking the high road...totally being a big old baby!
She found one on ebay and sent it to me. How stinking nice and sweet and touching and wonderful is that???? She likes her privacy, so no names here, but it is hands down one of the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me. I just wanted to share the story...and how unbelievably cute my friend and this tree are!
Love it, it seems as a child my mother had one very similar... Thanks for jarring old memories!
See, the tree is magic! Glad it brought you a good moment Dan!
Thank you Moon!
Mani, you know this special person. Thank you!
Sweet Phil, thank you. This gift moved me so much.
