I am looking for any info. regarding this school desk that has been in my family for years. I do not know the history behind it.

Somewhere on the cast you should find at least a mold number and or Pat #. These are fun to own. If you are under 80 years old you probably didn't sit in one at school. They aren't terribly rare but a fun item.
Love the cast iron leg.
