Here's an updated photo of the spring blossom aka crazy daisy pattern of Pyrex I started collecting. I just love them, they're adorable. The lady that sold me the Cinderella nesting bowls advertised them as "No damage, SUPER SUPER clean." But the next to the largest has a chip, about 2- inches long. I told the seller there wasn't even any broken pieces of glass in the box. She told me I have to take them to the post office and make an insurance claim to get my money back. She over charged for shipping, because of that I will not get all of my money back. USPS will only give the price of the bowls plus what the seller paid for shipping. I went back and looked at her photos, you can actually see the chipped bowl in her listing. I did not notice it when I purchased them, because I was bidding/viewing from my cellphone. And it's something you wouldn't notice unless you knew it was there. I'm not making a claim with the post office as I feel that would be insurance fraud. I'm not sure what ebay will do about this. I think I'll lose money either way.
Crazy... love the arrangement of daisies!
I hope you're able to resolve the issue, she deserves a visit from bad karma!
Good morning Mike :-) thank you for the love xo
Good Morning WS xo
Thanks so much for the love and kind words. :-) I hope you have the best day ever.
Love the collection! But yeah that's the risk and gamble and thrill of online buying. I once bought 10 ramekins, a small platter and a small casserole (Fire King pyrex) online and they were super well wrapped but one ramekin broke into 2. I told the seller but I also said I was grateful he really did a good job wrapping everything. In my case, it was he did his best but accidents happen. In your case, the seller will get their bad karma as walksoftly said!
Good morning bobogal :-) Thanks for the love xo and sharing your story. truly appreciate the kind words. I hope you have an awesome day.
Nice collection, looks so familiar to me, my mom had a lot of pyrex : )
From my understanding, ebay almost always sides with the buyer. Make a big stink! Smack down her seller rating. Lots of folk who I know that are ebay sellers (I am not one of them) complain about buyer fraud. What could it hurt to try?
Aimathena, it just occurred to me - if you used PayPal there is also separate buyer protection if the item is significantly not as described. In your case seller said no damage yet there was a big chip as shown in the tiny photo which proves it was already damaged when she said no damage. But you have to open a dispute within 40 days of payment.
Hi EJ :-) I hope out brings you fond memories. xo
AR and Bobogal,
I thought about calling ebay to see what they suggest I do... But, even if they side with me, and give the funds back... someone has to pay for shipping to send the bowls back to the seller. I've no clue how that works. I already looked into how to buff the glass. I might end up buffing it the best I can and chalking the whole thing up to a costly lesson learned. I paid top $, for the bowls and shipping. The seller also tacks on an extra $ amount in shipping after the auction ends. They warned of it in the listing, my fault for not reading all the hoopla.
Thank you for the love xo...

truly appreciate all the loves, advice and support. ya'll are the best xoxox
I believe the seller has to pay for shipping. I'd pursue it. Plus I'd rip them on the comments. I'm vindictive though. I don't like cheats. I'm working on being nicer, but it is a work in progress.
AR, LoL!!! when you made a comment on that heart the other day, and they offered it to you... I thought how fitting, because you have such a big heart. I cannot imagine you ever being mean. I'm with you, I have a huge dislike for sneaky dishonest people, and I do want to warn other buyers. Tho I've never left negative feedback. Even the man who charged me individual shipping charges for each item, but shipped them together in the same box, which totaled a whopping $55! I ended up leaving him neutral feedback. Nowadays I try to sit back, and take my time before I react. The seller keeps asking me for updates. I haven't responded. as I do not know which route I'm taking but I know it will not be insurance fraud against the government. If karma presents itself, it will probably be from one of the shipping services. Hopefully it will have a good ending. omgosh the swypo's, sorry.
Thank you for sharing your story Phil. I'm so sorry that happened to you.The seller said this was the first time it had ever happened, then they went into telling me how the USPS always handles these claims. Very knowledgeable with the procedures for a first claim. Seller said they sent something, not sure what to USPS, but I have to physically take the bowls to my local post office to let them see them. Also if I don't request my shipping fees to be refunded I won't get them back. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but I do feel the seller knew the bowl was damaged prior to shipping. I think for that reason the seller is nervous and that's why they keep contacting me
Thank you for the love xo...

No, that seller is out to make money, period. they're not going to refund anything. I'm going to call ebay tomorrow. ebay actually owns PayPal, not sure how many people know that.
if ebay doesn't make the seller pay for shipping, I'll just have to try to repair the bowl myself. I would rather do that than be out on shipping for something I didn't get to keep. I'm actually done with ebay and PayPal. I was using their sites to sell off a lot of items from my basement and shed's but it's just becoming too much of a hassle. ebay made more than I did.
I envy you gals. it's freezing, rain, snow and ice here.
Poor AR and I are on the wrong end. LoL
You can call me Queenie. LoL!! just kidding.
yes, I do love Pyrex. Always have, I think it's because I love to cook.
7 more came today. one was shattered, so sad, they're way too pretty to be mishandled. Thanks for the love xo and cute comment. :-)
Bouncing around town today for work, trying to keep warm, I succumbed to a quick GW stop. Must have been that spidey sense...found a Butterprint fridge! Just like the ones in the picture. No lid though. Had to swoop it for you! Once again, 50 cents! Going to make a pile for you :))
I swear, you are too cute AR. Not to mention sweet. Thank you so much for thinking of me *again*. Be safe in this crazy weather and Try to stay warm!

Not sure if you got this resolved. But how about going after Paypal... Paypal typically sides with the buyer and typically makes the seller pay for the shipping... Unfortunately I was on the receiving end from a fraudulent buyer... A couple of years ago, I used to sell big jewelry lots on ebay... In this occasion, the buyer bought a jewelry lot, took several pieces out, contacted Paypal and I ended up losing not only the best pieces of jewelry in that lot, but also had to pay for her to ship it back and give her full refund. And on top of it, I lost the commission to Ebay, because Paypal got involved and Ebay didn't care... It was past the 30 days or something like that... That is the main reason I stopped selling on Ebay...
