    Purchased this at a second hand shop a year ago, just looking for more info on it like Manufacturer, year built, etc. W=32", D=18", H=23 - the trunk has tiny rollers on the bottom and I can't seem to find any identification on the lock - perhaps this is a replica of something? Thank for your help!

      That is a Yale and Towne lock. Here is the history of the company:

      The picture on the lid does not appear to be original as it 1. Does not look like a lithograph and 2. Does not have a border, either as part of the picture or placed around it. If it is a lithograph it is atypical. Perhaps the trunk did not come with one, I have seen them without, and the owner used their own and placed it there. The lock is not a replica but the real thing. The number 3 on the draw bolts is the size. The sizes ranged from I to 5 I think. Looks like fun to restore. Thanks for the post.
