This item was found in deceased father's belongings
Origin not known. Possibly came from Europe after WWII
Height 1 1/2 inches---39mm
Diameter 2 3/8 inches---60mm
Looks as though it may have been cast using a brass/gold coloured metal.
Hinged to open down one side and then secured with metal pin on opposite side. The hinge and closure appears to be wire wound into a spiral that has been brazed/fused together. Perhaps included during the casting
The small protrusions; there are four of them, may to have been added during casting as the inside of bracelet (which is not particularly smooth/polished) shows marks where the protrusions have been fixed: not riveted or screwed in place.
The only makers mark is a very very tiny embossed square with what looks like the letter I (without the serif).
If additional info is needed by anyone out there to make an educated comment then I can supply extra photos.
Look forward to hearing from all you knowledgeable people out there who may have some idea on the origins of this bracelet/bangle
Perhaps from India? A picture of the hinge would be helpful. Diameter?
Additional pics added.
All the information I have including measurements is detailed on original listing.
