Since moving...I have put on display a few of my babies...Loetz's, Kraliks and Welz and Rindskopfs....

Nadia, they are all tacked down with Museum Gel or Putty!!! And no..there about 8 .5 feet high off the ground...so pretty safe :0

Great idea to use the museum putty. I knew a lady who hung her framed photographs on the wall with that, because she didn't want to put holes in the walls.

So the vases are attached to the shelf with Museum Gel or Putty, but how is the shelf anchored to the wall?
LoL, that is a very long shelf. I really like the second photo, it really shows how long the shelf really is.
David, the shelf is one of the reasons I wanted the I fell in love with the apt! The shelf is bolted down and very strong..it would take the wall coming down to move the shelf or vases....the shelf is about 5.5 feet long...and under the shelf is the open kitchen breakfast bar...where I have more vases on..so its like 2 shelves :)))
