My latest purchase, very rare and only the 3rd time i have ever seen one like this, purchased in November, but was sitting in Australian Customs for a full month, but really worth the wait. This large scaled dancer is classic streamlined form of the 1930's Deco period, made from Rosewood and Walnut . The artist captures the form and grace of the lithe female form like no others of the period, or following decades. It incorporates subtle carved lines to suggest hair, and tasteful bronze bracelets . She is quite large for Hagenauer's work, standing an impressive 56 cm. She is in excellent original condition, and is well marked with the Hagenauer marks on the underside.
Great! size and love the flowing movement of her!...:-)
Awesome piece, love it!!
Thanks guys, i think it is awesome as well, i really cannot believe how reasonable the purchase price was as well.
stunning !!!!! love this very much!!!
I so love this figure. Thank you Amanda for introducing me to Hagenauer, i particularly the African ones too, though they're all great. I recently purchased a Haganaur like little metal figure, a bit worse for wear, but i love the style. Can't wait to get her (and post her:)
I am glad you love this figure, at the moment Hagenauer prices are lower, so it is a great time to start collecting.
Hi Amanda, she's arrived:) if you could have a peek & give me your opinion that would be great. Thank you
