This is another old trunk I got from a woman who was not sure of the age. She thought it might be late 1800s. I have not finished it as you can see. It's quite large. The very top of the trunk has a gap between the slats at the wood that I don't know how to fix. It's tucked away in my garage. I will pull it out and get better, closer pics of the gap so someone can tell me how to fix it. It's a very interesting trunk. It has string/ribbon inside the lid that was loosely tacked on....don't know if it was with the trunk originally or was added later. I will be posting 4 more pictures of it so you will see "Antique Trunk #11 continued" after this post. Hope someone can help identify it and give an approx age.
I would think this trunk is from about late 1880's to early 1890's. It has an unusual top curvature you do not see often, as most dome trunks curve down at the front and back. This one will look great refinished. Thanks for the post!
