Another thrift store cheapy ($3 unframed). I don't know anything about this print other than it appears to be signed along with a notation stating "original rendering"?

Appreciate any input on this including artist name if anybody can read it, Thanks!

    The actual print measures 10 1/2 x 8 1/4 (without matting)

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a town in the district of Ansbach of Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia), the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany, well known for its well-preserved medieval old town, a destination for tourists from around the world. The name "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" means, in German, "Red fortress above the Tauber". This is so because the town is located on a plateau overlooking the Tauber River. As to the name "Rothenburg", some say it comes from the German words Rot (Red) and Burg (burgh, medieval fortified settlement), referring to the red colour of the roofs of the houses which overlook the river.

      aghcollect,
Thank you for the info, any guess on the spelling of the artist?

Hard to tell the artist signature - if you google "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" this exact scene seems to be a quite common medium. By the way, it is not "original rendering" - it is "original radierung" - radierung is German for "etching"

AH! I tried deciphering the writing but truth be told, I'm not very good with signatures. I am not much into "art" (I do have a handful of signed outdoor prints bought from a dealer who went out of business however, all unframed) but liked this one, thank you again aghcollect and everyone else for the love!
