I found this picture at an estate sale along with contentment they have the same kind of frame which I have not been able to get the backs of either frames off I have ruined a few pictures/prints by tearing the backs of frames off. I am scared to force the backs of these open if they were signed prints and I ruined them it would break my heart.

Hi Vintagemad, You may have to remove backing to see if its the real deal or a repro. There are so many repros these days, people in Antique Malls and Estate Sales are putting these repros in old frames and passing them off as legit. Many times they would glue or seal back so good you can't get them off! You can take a magnify glass and look closely at print, if you see dot pattern its most likely repro. Many times the would take the calender tops and cut them down to fit frames they had back then, so the frame looks period so it may be the real deal? By it being cropped down to fit frame the value is pretty much gone, most want complete print or calender. Dave

Thanks Dizzydave I looked at it with a magnifying glass and it has the dot pattern as you said. Oh well they still look nice on the wall. At least I paid next to nothing for them. Thanks again for the input and happy hunting!

I meant to mention that I had this poster framed in my room for years. I gave it away, but I miss it now!
