Reed & Barton Gold Paperweight Pen

Reed & Barton no longer make this pen. As a matter of fact, they have not made this item for over 20 years. I called the home office to inquire about the history and value of this pen. No one there could answer any questions other than they use to make these, they haven't done so in over 20 years and there is no one there that knows anything about it. We searched the net and actually found a pic of one of these as being sold on ebay. The site wanted me to "pay" for a free trial period so they could tell me what it sold for on ebay. Apparently it hasn't sold on ebay because that site will let you look at sold items. So we are back to square one. We are like everyone else...just wanting to know a little history, value, and do,we want to keep in our collection or put it up for sale. If anyone has info on this item, I would greatly appreciate it.
