I bought this at an antique auction barn 35 yrs ago with 3 other horses but they were definitely made of resin or plastic. This horse measures approx 12 inches tall. Looks to be resin or chalkware not sure. The tail looks like real horse hair. I cannot seem to identify what it is made of or who could have made it. I have researched and cannot find another like it. The other horses were resin or plastic for sure. This one looks alot older and almost hand made? Anyone familiar with this horse?

      Welcome to CW
I looks to be made of wood composite, popular in the late 40's early 50's. The plastic ones may be worth more money.

Thank you AzTom. I was kind of thinking that was what it was made of. I appreciate it. Do you think it was hand made or factory?

Looks factory made and does it have glass eyes or plastic ? Very nice !

      I agree, factory.

I looked at the eye through a jewelers loupe and really dont know for sure it almost looks like glass but it looks like a very rough surface (not machine made hand made)
