I recently added this rare, Art Deco stacking coffee set to my collection. It includes the coffee pot, sugar, and creamer. It's rather small in size, and it would probably be a service for one person. I have never seen another one of these before.
The streamline design was patented in 1934 by Emil Schuelke for The Napier Company in Meriden, Connecticut. It is silver plated with bright red catalin accents. Schuelke also designed the famous Napier penguin cocktail shaker and the Napier conical cocktail shaker (which can also be seen in one of my collector pics on here).
The photograph is a promotional picture of actress Glenda Farrell, circa 1930's. I believe this coffee set can be seen on the cart next to her.
Beautiful!!!!!!
I also have one of these delicious coffee pots by Emile Schuelke for Napier. And you are correct as I have had a difficult time finding another example. At least we know there are two.
