Bowl is etched J. Hoare Co corning 1853. Sorry about the photo, my camera can't pick up the etching. Can anyone help me with the pattern?

Do you mean a round whitish mark on the dish? If so, that is called an acid stamp. Hoare, or no other Co. etched the signature into their glass. The 1853 date is the year the company started working. At the moment, I don't know the pattern name. This is a nice bowl!

Thanks mark. The mark is an acid stamp.

I just remembered that the American cut glass company Clark did use an etched signature on some of their glass. MY BAD!
