Here I have a stunning, Victorian era, ornately decorated Demitasse/Minature Cup, made in France by the artisans and craftsmen at Haviland & Co Limoges, c 1894 - 1931.
This Pattern is a Rare variant of the popular #72 and rarely seen.
Measures 2 1/4” height x 2 1/8" Width
Old Schleiger Pattern# 72 Variation Beautifully hand decorated with: Embossed rim, Great detailed Pink, Yellow & Blue Roses inside and out, with a center rose inside of cup. Gold gilded edges with green enamal trim.
Very Delicate embossed mold, fine translucent porcelain.
Green underglaze.
Mark I2 is Haviland France, placing production to late 1800's or early 1900 's, and a Red Factory overglaze special import decorating mark "Made especially for BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE" an upscale retailer of fine jewelry and goods.
This is a magnificent, and elegant Victorian era Haviland Limoges cup.
