Bought this bicycle today off a friend. The head badge is long gone. The down tube has remnants of a gold decal . All we could make out was,,CESSOI ? INDIA . I had gone to try to purchase a balloon tired bike, but saw this one and had to have it. If anyone has a clue as to it's brand it would be appreciated. Thanks.

It looks like an Elgin. Are there holes where a head badge would have been?

The frame and chain wheel sure look right for a Elgin. Thanks for the link. I am not gonna try to sit on it either.
