This is a lovely looking African statue. I found it at the dump with some other pieces that I will post on here too. I love African art and have got a few pieces that I've collected over the years from the dump and carboots. I especially like my wooden masks that I will put on here too when I find them.
I'm not sure where abouts in Africa this was carved, it's pretty heavy for the size of it. It's about 8 inches high.
It would be great to find out where it was made. I haven't done any research on it as I don't really know where to start
is it a tourist piece ?
If anyone could give me any help that would be great.

The hair style might be your only clue to it's origin.

      What would you call it
      Mohawk, Mohican ?

No idea, but if you go with Mohawk, you'll end up on the wrong continent:-)
