is this a real spittoon 11 x 9 1/4 ...made of brass not heavy ...............................................................................................what is the manufacturer and or value and year thanks dasnny
Railroad and tobacco company spittoons were mass produced (and copied) they are pretty common. I buy them unmarked for $5 at the local flea market and usually turn them over on eBay for $20 to $30 depending on condition and embossing. Usually if they were used they got pretty beat up during cleaning because they are so thin. They are fun because if you want to sell you have more than one target audience.
This spittoon is a modern fake but still a fun item to collect.
