    Trying to see if anyone recognizes anything on this lock, just hard to read, can make out some letters, any help or recognition would be appreciated. I finally found from the trunk I posted a week or so ago..thanks!

      Try taking a rubbing of the info. on the lock. You should be able to pick up the incised information. I see .....CA LOCK on the top and the patent date on the bottom but the rest should come up on the rubbing. RER

      Well I couldn't take a rubbing but I finally got enough dirt off to read Excelsior Lock..anyone have info? I see pat date at bottom...thanks!
