Sideboard ...Maple? style? date of manufacture?

I picked this up as a winter project and try a new hobby of stripping off paint and refinishing a piece of wood furniture. any information somone could provide re: date of manufacture. the wood appears to have a smooth grain and yellow hue so i think it might be maple. from checking the net probably 1920's but i am a research/fact nut more info drives my interest in the beginning of a project. 4 ft long and about 3 ft high
