This is a Lincoln Cent planchet with a missed strike error on both sides.
- It is circa 1962-1982 based on the approximate weight of 3.11 grams which is the planchet weight of the .950 copper, .o5o zinc composition used during that period. -- In the process of preparation for coinage, the blanks (planchets) are first punched from a strip of metal and then milled to upset the rim. This is a "first-process" piece, a blank without an upset rim, and is slightly more valuable than a finished planchet. - Current value $4.00
